National Director, Planned Giving
Kate has over 25 years of experience in planned giving and fundraising leadership with organizations working to reduce poverty nationally and internationally. Before joining World Vision, Kate was director of planned giving for the American Friends Service Committee. For 10 years prior to that, she led a consulting firm she'd founded, working in planned and major gift fundraising with organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
"It's an extraordinary experience to help donors fund work that they believe in deeply, especially when their gifts can ensure that work continues in the future," Kate says. "At World Vision, where our focus is the poorest of the poor, we are blessed every day to have the opportunity to serve in this way."
Before starting her consulting firm, Kate held positions as director of development for three organizations, including YWCA Seattle and the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center, and served as director of major gifts for Legal Voice. Early in her career, she was executive director for the Everett Public Schools Foundation, bringing private contributions to the public school system.
Kate has served on the faculty of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and has been a featured speaker for regional gift planning councils in Philadelphia and the Puget Sound area. She is a member of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, the Washington Planned Giving Council, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She holds an MBA from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts from Swarthmore College. She can be reached at 253.815.2614 or email@example.com
World Vision's planned giving department helps donors make thoughtful and tax-wise decisions regarding the transfer of their financial resources.
