All of us have a story to tell and a legacy to leave. Below are inspiring stories of faithful supporters like you. Each has included World Vision in their estate plan so they can continue to support World Vision after their lifetime - it's their legacy of love to the world's children.
Part of the World Vision family since 1998
Robert was first introduced to World Vision in the mission field, where he served as a pastor to several churches in Honduras. During his time there, a large hurricane swept the north coast, leaving the country completely devastated. In the aftermath, Robert saw firsthand how World Vision responds in the face of disasters.
"From my experience as a missionary, I have always been interested in World Vision's worldwide relief work in response to disasters and poverty," he says. This is why it was important to Robert to find a way he could support their efforts.
"I first learned about gift annuities through something I received in the mail from World Vision," Robert remembers. After reading through the information, he decided to create a charitable gift annuity. "I wanted to contribute to World Vision's work, and this seemed to be a good way to do that. I can make a gift to World Vision and receive an income. It's like a bonus!"
"I also like the way it fits in well with my retirement plans," explains Robert. This is one reason he chose to create a second gift annuity with World Vision.
As a pastor and a missionary, Robert has plenty of ministry experience. Because of this, he appreciates that he can trust World Vision to do good work. "World Vision has a vision and a plan to use the money I give to help people in needboth inside and outside this country." This knowledge gives Robert confidence that even when he is no longer here, his gifts will continue to support World Vision's relief efforts.
