All of us have a story to tell and a legacy to leave. Below are inspiring stories of faithful supporters like you. Each has included World Vision in their estate plan so they can continue to support World Vision after their lifetime - it's their legacy of love to the world's children.
Beverly Cornelius, Oregon
World Vision partner since 1975
Beverly remembers listening to Bob Pierce, founder of World Vision, on the radio when she was young. "I was attracted to sponsorship because I wanted to make a difference in the life of a child," she recalls.
"It is a wonderful feeling to know that World Vision does what they do and that I can be a small part of a bigger picture," she continues. "God takes the little we have and combines it - He uses it for his purposes."
Recently, Beverly was inspired to make World Vision a beneficiary of a stock account. "It came to me that I can make provisions for my sponsored child, just like [I am doing] for my children and my granddaughter," she explains. "If I die tomorrow, I am comfortable knowing that my sponsored child and others like her will be continued to be cared for."
For Beverly, it's a blessing to give. "There is nothing greater than the satisfaction you get [from] knowing that you have helped someone," she says. "Life is not about what you acquire, but what you share with others."
