All of us have a story to tell and a legacy to leave. Below are inspiring stories of faithful supporters like you. Each has included World Vision in their estate plan so they can continue to support World Vision after their lifetime - it's their legacy of love to the world's children.
Barbara Elder, Mississippi
World Vision partner since 2005
From teaching preschool to starting a food pantry to sponsoring a child - Barbara is all about caring for children. "I love kids," she says, "and I've always had a heart for the poor."
Barbara discovered another way to make a difference: she set up a charitable gift annuity through World Vision. "It's perfect," she says. "I get extra income, and World Vision gets the money they need to fund their wonderful projects."
"It's actually a better return than I would get on a CD right now," she says. Still, what Barbara appreciates most is knowing that children will benefit from her gift. "As I get older, sometimes I feel like I can't do as much. Yet with a gift annuity, my money works for me to help others . . . it's a win-win!"
"I wouldn't have been able to make an outright gift of this size, except by doing it this way. It feels good knowing that when I'm gone, my money will continue to serve those in need."
