All of us have a story to tell and a legacy to leave. Below are inspiring stories of faithful supporters like you. Each has included World Vision in their estate plan so they can continue to support World Vision after their lifetime - it's their legacy of love to the world's children.
Jean Estep, Kentucky
World Vision partner since 1985
It was late 1984 when Jean heard about the devastating famine in Ethiopia. "I wanted to help," she says, "but I didn't know how." Jean approached her church, and they connected her to World Vision. "It just took off from there," she adds.
Today, Jean sponsors a child-an 11-year-old boy-through World Vision. "My love and compassion come from the Lord," says Jean, acknowledging that His blessings are what compel her to give.
Jean has also included a charitable bequest in her will. She's decided that after her lifetime, her house will be sold and the proceeds donated to World Vision. "God gave me this house," she says. "It's been my home for over 20 years. Now I can give it back to Him.
"You know that Scripture where Jesus says to lay up your treasure in heaven?" she continues. "I just felt that would be the thing to do with my estate. These things are eternal."
