All of us have a story to tell and a legacy to leave. Below are inspiring stories of faithful supporters like you. Each has included World Vision in their estate plan so they can continue to support World Vision after their lifetime - it's their legacy of love to the world's children.
Gloria Beckford, California
World Vision partner since 2002
Despite its reputation for pristine beaches, many families in Gloria's home country, Jamaica, live in poverty. "I've known what it's like to be poor," says Gloria, "what it's like not to have things."
"But the Lord has blessed me!" she adds. Forty years ago, Gloria moved to the United States, where she worked her way through school and became a nurse.
Gloria believes that God blesses for a reason. "All of us are God's children," she says, "and He put us here for a purpose." For Gloria, that purpose is helping others?especially children.
She first learned about World Vision at a Women of Faith conference, where she became a child sponsor. Soon after that, she decided to go even further, naming World Vision as a beneficiary on her living trust. "This is my way to give back," she explains. "By leaving my money to World Vision, I know that children will be taken care of [and] will benefit from my love, even when I'm gone."
