All of us have a story to tell and a legacy to leave. Below are inspiring stories of faithful supporters like you. Each has included World Vision in their estate plan so they can continue to support World Vision after their lifetime - it's their legacy of love to the world's children.
Rudy and Dodie Moser, Illinois
Part of the World Vision family since 2000
Dodie remembers first being led to sponsor a child through a speaker at her church. "I was drawn to the pictures of all the children who were living in poverty. It just really touched my heart," she shares. "I thought about all the blessings that I had in my life, so I immediately signed up to sponsor a child."
Since then, Dodie has sponsored more children, each of whom has held a special place in her heart. She treasures every photo and letter she's received from them.
A few years ago, Dodie's entire family began to think about how much they had and how little they needed. That's when they started giving special donations to World Vision in lieu of gifts to each other on special occasions. Dodie loves involving her family in her giving, and thanks to her example, her daughter now also sponsors a child.
Given their passion and concern for children in need, Dodie and her husband, Rudy, decided to name World Vision as a beneficiary of their will. Dodie explains, "Only God knows the good that will ultimately come as a result of our legacy gift. We trust that somewhere in the world there will be children and families who have better lives because of our small sacrifice. And we are excited about that. " The Mosers know their trust is well-founded because of World Vision's commitment to good stewardship. "World Vision is a great organization and a great percentage of their funding goes directly to help the children," she says confidently. "This is one of the reasons we chose them."
Dodie sees their giving to World Vision as a mission from God-a mission that she encourages others to participate in. "God loves us so much, and He has given us so many blessings," she says. "I would encourage anyone to join with World Vision in helping to care for these children. We can only be blessed by it."
