All of us have a story to tell and a legacy to leave. Below are inspiring stories of faithful supporters like you. Each has included World Vision in their estate plan so they can continue to support World Vision after their lifetime - it's their legacy of love to the world's children.
Ronald and Lois Pollard, Colorado
part of the World Vision family since 1989
Ronald and Lois first learned about World Vision when a representative set up a sponsorship display at their church. "Our hearts were touched by the presentation and the precious little children, so we decided at that time to sponsor one," remembers Lois. They have been World Vision supporters ever since.
One thing sponsorship has done for the Pollards is help them become more aware of the needs of children and families living in poverty. "Every time I see things that are happening in the areas I know World Vision is in, I realize that we are doing a little bit of helping those children," says Ron.
"World Vision is certainly one of our favorite charities we donate to," adds Lois. "We know that we are really helping a child" And that's something Ron and Lois want to continue doing. "We want to leave something for people who can benefit from our giving when we are no longer here," shares Lois.
So when they began creating their estate plan, they decided to include World Vision. "Along with our children and other organizations, we made World Vision a beneficiary on a percentage of our entire estate," says Ron.
"It's just a blessing to be in a position that the Lord has put us in to be able to do what we can. We are blessed in that respect," shares Lois. "And happy to have our giving continue on after we are gone," adds Ron.
