All of us have a story to tell and a legacy to leave. Below are inspiring stories of faithful supporters like you. Each has included World Vision in their estate plan so they can continue to support World Vision after their lifetime - it's their legacy of love to the world's children.
Renee Blancett House, Georgia
Part of the World Vision family since 1999
Renee first began sponsoring children when her sister invited her to a Women of Faith conference. "While attending, I renewed my commitment to Christ and went to the World Vision tables where they had children available to be sponsored," she remembers. Over the years, Renee has enjoyed sponsoring several more children.
Renee appreciates that World Vision equips the people they serve to take care of themselves. "They don't just hand out money or supplies. They give people the opportunity to improve their lives and give them some responsibility for it," she explains.
Renee is excited about what she has seen sponsorship accomplish. "I find that a little bit of money can do so much," she shares. "Just to make a small sacrifice or a small change in your life can affect another person or a family in a great way."
When Renee began planning for her future, she was determined to make sure her sponsored children would be taken care of if something happened to her. "I have a responsibility to support the children I sponsor now and in the future after I pass on," she explains. "I want to be sure that World Vision has the money to continue with their care."
"I talked to a person in World Vision's estate planning department, and they explained how I could use my life insurance policy to continue to care for my sponsored children after my lifetime," she explains. "Any remaining amount will go to support other kids."
